Privacy Policy.
This Policy describes how TellsNext LLC ("TellsNext", "we", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information you give us or that we observe when you use tellsnext.com. By using this site you agree to this Policy. Where US state law (including California) gives you specific rights, Section 8 explains how to exercise them.

Version 1.0
Heads up. This Policy is drafted to protect TellsNext while giving users the disclosures US law requires. It is a template — before relying on it in a dispute, have it reviewed by counsel licensed in the state of use.
Who this Policy covers
This Policy applies to information collected through tellsnext.com (and any subdomains or demo URLs we operate), and to anyone who contacts us through the site's inquiry forms, email, or phone. If you engage TellsNext on a paid project, a separate Client Services Agreement (the "Terms") governs that engagement in addition to this Policy.
Information we collect
A. Information you give us
- Inquiry forms. Your name, email address, phone (optional), organization (optional), the business shape you are interested in, and any message text you type.
- Correspondence. Anything you write to us by email, phone, or messaging app in connection with the site.
- Engagement data. If you hire us, we will collect the additional information we need to build what you asked for (assets, credentials you provide, billing details). That data is governed primarily by your signed Client Services Agreement.
B. Information collected automatically
- Visit logs. IP address, user-agent string, referring URL, HTTP method, request path, timestamp, and the
Accept-Language header.
- Approximate geolocation. Derived from IP at the city/region level using a third-party IP-to-geo lookup; we cache the lookup to reduce calls.
- Browser-session state. A short-lived PHP session cookie (admin access only) and any technical cookies strictly necessary to deliver the page.
We do not operate ad-tech trackers, fingerprinting SDKs, cross-site pixels, or behavioural-retargeting cookies on this site.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry within our stated response window (24 hours on business days).
- To understand how the site is being used, so we can improve its content, structure and performance.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and automated scraping.
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including tax and recordkeeping.
- Where you engage us on a paid project: to deliver that project and bill for it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with data brokers. We do not use it to train third-party AI models.
Legal bases & legitimate business interest
We process information about you only when one of the following applies:
- Contract performance — to take pre-contractual steps you request (answer an inquiry, scope a project) or to perform a contract with you.
- Legitimate business interest — to operate, secure, and improve our site and communications. We have assessed this interest and consider it to be proportionate; you may object at any time.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information under applicable law.
- Consent — in the narrow cases where we specifically ask for it.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with processors who help us run TellsNext, each bound by written confidentiality and data-protection terms. Categories include:
- Hosting & infrastructure. The cloud provider that runs this site.
- Email. The provider we use to receive and answer your inquiry.
- Professional advisors. Lawyers, accountants, and auditors bound by professional duties of confidentiality.
- Authorities. Where legally required, or to investigate fraud, abuse, or a threat to physical safety.
- Successors. If TellsNext is acquired or merged, your information may transfer to the successor, subject to this Policy.
We do not share your information for third-party marketing.
International transfers
TellsNext is based in the United States. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be processed in the US. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms.
How long we keep it
- Inquiry records: up to 36 months from last interaction, then archived or deleted.
- Visit logs: up to 24 months for security and performance analysis.
- Client engagement records: as long as the engagement is active, plus the retention period required by tax, accounting, and statute-of-limitations rules (typically 7 years in the US).
You may ask us to delete your information sooner; see Section 8.
Your rights & how to exercise them
Depending on where you live (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah and similar US states, or the EU/UK), you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Access. Request a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correction. Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete information we hold about you, subject to our retention obligations.
- Portability. Receive a copy of certain information in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Opt-out of sale or sharing. We don't sell or share your information for cross-context behavioural advertising, so this is already in effect.
- Non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
- Appeal. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response. For Virginia residents, you may also contact your Attorney General.
To exercise any right, email hello@tellsnext.com with the subject line "Privacy request". We will respond within 30 days (45 days in limited cases, which we will explain). We may ask you to verify your identity before we act.
Cookies & tracking
We use the minimum number of cookies needed to run the site:
- Essential. Session cookies for admin access. These are not used for any analytics or marketing purpose.
- Cache. Your browser may cache static assets (CSS, images, fonts) under its normal cache rules.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or equivalent third-party analytics on this site. We do log server-side visits (see Section 2B) for security and capacity planning. Because we don't set any non-essential cookies, no cookie-consent banner is required under most US state laws; if you are in the EU/UK we honour a "Do Not Track" browser signal as an objection to non-essential processing.
Children
This site is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information from loss, misuse, or unauthorised access. No internet service is perfectly secure; we disclaim liability for breaches arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be notified through a banner on the site. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
